A Cryptic Mantis captured with a Nissin MF18 Ring Flash and 1 bare speedlight as a backlight. "The MF18 made it possible to shoot at very small apertures. Some were shot at f16! The modeling LED lights made it very easy for the auto focus to keep track of the mantis. This was great! I ended up with lots of keepers."
